Press Release Body: Recently (on 21st February) well-known NGO \'Prabhat\' organaised
\"JUGALBANDI\" - creation of 4 artist, photographer and papermaker. Representing the
creativity of these artists will continue till 20th March at India Habitat Centre.
Although the exhibition is consists of many specialties, but one of them is its
title \'Jugalbandi\' as the word is being used with music give it complete new look,
freshness and direction whereas in art there are mixture of colour, paint,
creativity and imagination which represents the art in such a way that look like
reality on Canvas. Though all the four creators have used the same but it has named
JUGALBANDI because like in music jugalbandi represents music in totally new way, the
same has happened with this exhibition as the artists\' present their creativity in
such a unique and different way that will definitely attract all the art lovers.
The exhibition will continue till 20th March and was inaugurated by Raj Liberhan
(Director, IHC). The other guests of the evening were Ankur Mehta (Paper Maker),
Sunando Mazumdar (Photographer), Jensan Anto (Artist & Photographer), Himadri
Bhattacharya (Artist), Madhumita Puri (Secretary, Prabhat) and Alka Pandey to name a
few.
On this occasion Madhumita Puri said the creativity of photographer and artist has
been created on paper made by Ankur which is worth praise.
Art for Prabhat is an initiative of the Society for Child Development works for the
development of resources for children and young adults with mental handicap who form
the most vulnerable sections of our society. Our vision for the future is that every
mentally handicapped person will have the same access to opportunities and services
such as education, healthcare and employment, the opportunity to use and develop his
or her inherent talent to their fullest potential, the opportunity for respect for
their capacities and be valued for their efforts, Enabling them to be viewed as
equal members of society.
